Saturday Evening
After we left White Bay, we headed back to the boat to shower and get ready for another great dinner at Harris' Place. Cynthia had a good crowd and fixed a great fish dinner.
Saturday
Cynthia offered to let us stay docked at Harris' Place and just grab a cab to White Bay, so we took her up on it. After a quick sandwich and a few painkillers at Soggy Dollar, we made our way to the One Love Bar. We were hoping that Ruben Chinnery would be playing guitar again this year and he was.
Great day, great music, great bushwhackers and painkillers.

Harris' Place Friday Night
Cynthia was witing on the dock as we pulled in. Ken was setting up to dock on the outside of the dock and then Cynthia waved him off and told him to dock on the inside. He masterfully piloted the boat to the perfect landing, even with the wind at 18 knots.
After a few of Cynthia's supurb Bush Whackers, we settled in for dinner. Lobster, ribs, chicken, lobster bisque and slaw - incredible. Later, we sat on the deck did the usual nightly laughter routine.
Friday Sailing
An awesome day of sailing from Saba Rock to Jost Van Dyke, with a few stops along the way at Guana and the bubbling pool. It was a little to rough to dinghy to Sandy Spit, but we got some good photos. There were jets and helicopters everywhere as the bigwigs were arriving for the wedding of one of the founders of Google. He is getting married Saturday on Necker Island.

My Daughter's Artwork
Thursday
Thursday was a pretty laid back day-
We woke up to a great rainbow that ended at the end of Anegada. Then it was off to the Bitter End Yacht Club and Saba Rock. The seas were big, but nothing like the Great December Hurricane of 2006, as the locals now call it.
A shadow came over the boat as we were moored at Saba Rock and we looked up to the see the 440 foot Wind Spirit coming into the bay.
Later we ate at Saba Rock and headed back to get to bed a little earlier than normal. Yes, we are getting old(er).

Lobsters in Anegada
Wednesday evening we had the big lobster dinner, er..... I mean feast. The after dinner entertainment included Ken dancing to John Travolta singing "Sandy" from Grease back on the boat. Mac and Mike L. held him down while I immediately deleted all John Travolta music from his iPod.

New Deck Boat
Mike D. couldn't resist checking out the new "deck boat" design and the new outboard technology.
Saba Rock Webcam
It is about 11:00 AM on Thusday. See the boat live on the Saba Rock webcam here -

Cow Wreck Beach Excursion
Wednesday afternoon we headed to Cow Wreck Beach for a little snorkeling. When we got there they told us that the water was pretty churned up and the snorkeling wouldn't be very good. Since the shuttle wasn't coming back for two hours, we were stuck there! As you can see from the pictures below, it was horrible.

Anegada Bound
Up and at it early. we headed to Anegada for some lobster. I drove the whole 14 miles, with a little assistance from the auto-pilot and GPS. We blew past everybody, especially the monohulls. I wanted to run a few circles around two of the slower boats, but Ken wouldn't let me......
Tuesday Night - Chicken and Painkillers
Mac fired up the grill and cooked up some incredible jerk MacChicken on the back of the boat. Ken had mixed a batch of painkillers that I personally like better than the local ones!
After dinner we headed to Jumbie's for an after-dinner cold adult beverage. Not as big of a crowd as last year, nor as fun, but we survived.

Monday Evening
Rain!
We took a wet dinghy ride to The Last Resort, a great little restaurant at Trellis Bay. The food was great, and Mike L. was entertained by the cats running around. After an even wetter ride back, we just relaxed inside the boat and sipped a Makers Mark and water.
Life doesn't suck.

Monday Sailing
Monday started out with a hike up to a great spot for photos.
After that...........a day of sailing! All day sailing. The weather was overcast and pretty rough seas - too much for the average sailor. Not us though. FULL SPEED AHEAD!
Sunday Evening Dinner.................and Cocktails
Ken made reservations over the VHS for dinner at Pirates, a cool restaurant on Norman Island. Mac immediately got to know the band members that talked them, O.K. paid them, to play a few of his favorite songs. We ate well - pork tenderloin, ribs, chicken. We've been here two days and have yet to eat seafood.............
After dinner, our dinghy automatically went straight to Willie T's. We tried to go back to the boat, but the dinghy wouldn't let us. Oh well, so we had a few more cocktails.Back on the boat, we all laid around on the front of the boat and kept everybody else in the harbor awake with our laughter.
Sunday Events
We finally got checked out around 12:15 on Sunday. Ken blamed it on the Voyage Charters crowd running on "island time"................
We immediately headed toward the Wreck of the Rhone site, which we had skipped last year. It was pretty rough, with Ken and I estimating 4 to 6 foot seas. In his usual exaggerating fashion, Mike L. said that it had to have been 10 to 12 foot seas while he was driving.
Since we didn't bring an underwater camera, this will have to do as our 2007 picture of the Wreck of the Rhone (we promise it's down there).
